Congratulations to Bex!
Bex Danielle Cooney Cole defender her PhD thesis “Sp8 Plays a Role in Motor Neuron Fate Choice” on August 23rd, 2023. In Hynek Wichterle’s lab, Bex defined a novel role for Sp8, an MN progenitor transcription factor. She also investigated mechanisms relating to enhancer activation in nascent MNs.
