Congrats to Ryan Loker!
June 15, 2021
Ryan Loker defended his PhD thesis, "Shaping development: The role of transcription factor-mediated chromatin accessibility states in tissue patterning" on May 21, 2021. Working in Richard Mann's laboratory, Ryan studied how diverse cell identities are specified during development by identifying the targets of important transcription factors that function to pattern appendages in the fruit fly and how these regulatory proteins influence chromatin in a cell-specific manner.
