Required Courses

Required Courses

G&D trainees follow a required curriculum during the first two years of study.  An elective course is required to be taken by the end of the second year. Additional electives may be required if students are funded on certain training grants, or if the training committee deems it necessary for individual students depending on the student’s interests and background.

Required curriculum is posted on the Genetics program page of the GSAS website:

Genetics and Development candidates must successfully complete all required courses with a grade of B- or better. Anyone receiving a C+ grade or below may be required to repeat a course at the discretion of the training committee. A cumulative GPA of B+ in required courses must be maintained to remain in good academic standing.
